How to use a reading
A practical method for turning a symbolic prompt into a question you can answer, without handing your choices to a horoscope.

A reading is a prompt, not a forecast
There is no scientific evidence that planetary positions predict events or traits in a person’s life. A Mystica reading is a creative, deterministic prompt: the same inputs and day produce the same wording. Its value is the moment of attention it creates, not any claim about what will happen.
Three steps
Use the reading like a journal prompt.
- Read it once without judging it
- Underline the single phrase that made you react, in either direction
- Turn that phrase into a question, then answer it in your own words
Notice the reaction
If a line feels exactly right, ask what you already knew. If it feels wrong, ask what you would say instead. Both reactions give you information. Psychologists describe a tendency to accept vague, general statements as personally accurate, often called the Barnum or Forer effect. Knowing that keeps the exercise honest: the insight comes from you, not the text.
What not to do
Do not use a reading to decide about health, money, legal matters, safety or a relationship. Do not treat a low score as a warning. The scores on Mystica are playful indicators generated by a formula, and the site says so on purpose.
Try this
After today’s reading, write one sentence beginning with “What I would actually like is…”. Keep it private. Mystica stores nothing outside your own browser.
